FAQ

How can I book a session?

A.Booking a session is easy! Fill out the contact form, send me an email or an Instagram message! If you're sending an email, include your name and phone number and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

What times do you usually schedule sessions?

A.Sessions are usually scheduled in the early morning or late afternoon/early evening since it offers that soft, flattering golden hour sunlight! On the contrary, compared to mid-day, the sun can cause unwanted and harsh shadows around the face. However, I can always work around the situation as the exact times can fluctuate based on your preferences. Typically, the sessions are usually scheduled 1-2 hours after sunrise and before sunset.

What is golden hour and why is it important?

A.The actual definition is defined as when the sun starts to emerge from the horizon to when it is about 6 degrees above it.  During this period, the daylight is extremely soft, dynamic, and has a golden tint that is nearly impossible to replicate with editing in any reasonable amount of time. Long story short, the lighting is HIGHLY flattering to the subject.

What should I bring to the shoot?

A.Feel free to bring any items that you think would add to the images or that define who you are as a person!

For graduation photos, please make sure to bring your stole (preferably ironed as they will be less likely to show signs of wrinkling in the images), any honor cords, cap, and gown. Additional items can include balloons, champagne, and confetti (please purchase the biodegradable type).

For headshots, feel free to dress up! This can include a blazer and business casual clothing. If there are other outfits you would like to wear, feel free to bring them! However, additional outfits would be considered more than 1 "look". Additionally, make sure your hair is as perfect as possible.

A light sweater or sweatshirt is welcomed depending on the weather as it might get a little cold in the early mornings/evenings.

What is a location?

A.A location is defined as a place we physically take a photo at. Within one location, there can be different "looks" to the photos due to different angles and perspectives.

I am very awkward/camera shy. Can you help me pose?

A.100%. My job as a photographer is to help get the best possible image of you! I will work with you so we both can create various posing ideas as well as natural candid ideas together when we are on the session!

How do I choose which image I want?

A.However, I add all the photos from the session to an online gallery so you have the freedom to choose which photo you like best (as there are micro-movements/expressions that change with each photo) to make sure we have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment. From there, you can select the photos with the best expressions and the ones that speak out to you / feel the most special to you to have from the online gallery as a part of the edited photos.

I believe that the photographs you receive should be of the highest quality and excellence.

Do you provide raw/unedited photos?

A.Even though the online gallery that you can select your top photos from may include images that are unedited, I do not provide RAW/unedited images for download to clients as I believe in delivering a finished product.

What is "photo retouching"?

A.Photo retouching is a way to remove imperfections that may appear in a photo. The most common retouching includes skin retouching is the removal of acne, blemishes, or any skin imperfections. Other retouching includes smoothing skin, removing flyaway hairs, removing lint on clothing, and whitening eyes and teeth.

When and how will I receive my images?

A.Post-processing of the photos will typically take on average 2 weeks!

The edited, high resolution images will be delivered via the online gallery and you will be notified through an email.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

A.Of course. Extending time will be an additional charge that will be determined during the session!

What kind of gear do you use?

A.Although cameras and gear nowadays are so technologically advanced and similar, gear doesn't really matter as they're all great! However, I shoot with Canon!

Do I have to order prints through you?

A.No! You are more than welcome to print your photos in whatever means you desire! However, I do provide a print store where you can print your favorite photos and it will have the highest quality. I use a professional printing services where the colors are accurately matched so what you see on screen is what your print will be! Just be aware that if you decide to print with another service, the colors may be slightly different!
